Frank Arndt
Founding Partner

Frank Arndt
Summary
Frank is a founding partner of award-winning family law firm, Paradigm Family Law LLP. He is a dual-qualified Solicitor in England & Wales and Rechtsanwalt in Germany, a trained mediator and a qualified Judge in Germany.
He has also been recommended for two consecutive years (2025 & 2026) in the prestigious Doyle’s Guide London for leading family & divorce lawyers 2026. This distinction is based on peer endorsement by leading solicitors, barristers and judges.
Before founding Paradigm Family Law in 2015, Frank built and led the international family law department at Stowe Family Law, the UK’s largest specialist family law firm. There, he advised on sophisticated cross-border financial remedy cases involving trusts, business interests, offshore structures and assets held across multiple jurisdictions.
What sets Frank apart is his strategic mind. He is known for seeing the wider picture early, identifying pressure points quickly and focusing on outcome rather than process. Having seen clients drawn into unnecessary cost and prolonged litigation, he established Paradigm to offer something different: clear strategy, decisive advice and transparency on cost from the outset.
Frank is typically instructed in cases where the issues are complex, the structure is contested and the outcome depends on getting the strategy right early. His work includes:
- Trust of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 disputes
- Pre-nuptial / ante-nuptial agreements
- Simon v Simon [2022] EWFC 25
- Concealment or dissipation of worldwide assets and
- He regularly advises on difficult enforcement cases with international aspects.
Frank’s areas of specialism also include
- Complex worldwide freezing order
- Cases with pre-nuptial and separation agreements or Civil Partnership disputes.
Frank regularly receives referrals from his established international network in relation to foreign divorce and cross-border financial remedy matters, including applications under the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act 1984 (MPFA 1984 Act). These cases often involve contested jurisdiction, forum disputes and “forum shopping” issues across multiple countries.
He advises clients both in the UK and internationally, including high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals, on protecting wealth in divorce. This includes cases involving trusts, business interests and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. His approach is strategic and controlled, but where required, he takes a firm and decisive stance to protect his client’s position.
He represents clients in Schedule 1 Children Act 1989 claims with an international dimension and in international child abduction cases under the 1980 Hague Convention.
Frank is regularly featured across television, radio and international press, including BBC, ITV, NBC, the Financial Times, Forbes, Le Figaro and recently in the German publication Private Banking Magazin. Frank provides valuable insight to journalists on the interaction between divorce, global wealth and complex financial structures.
He has been shortlisted repeatedly as Jordan’s International Family Lawyer of the Year and is recommended for two consecutive years in Doyle’s Guide London for his work in complex financial remedy cases.
He has also been described by leading Family Law KCs and a Deputy High Court Judge in London as
- “an excellent adviser and mentor to all his clients” and
- with a “great eye both for detail and for the bigger picture, and gives the rounded service which is absolutely necessary in this sphere of practice”
